In recent years, the Lolo Watershed Group has teamed up with theĀ Watershed Education Network andĀ Clark Fork Watershed Education Program to teach students about sedimentation in the Lolo Watershed. Instructors lead lessons which focus on the biological, chemical, and physical characteristics of Lolo Creek.

These events are made possible by an annual education grant funded by the Montana Association of Conservation Districts (formerly Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Montana). The Lolo Watershed Group reapplies each year to continue providing this hands-on learning opportunity for local middle school students.Lolo 6th graders collect sediment data on Lolo Creek.
