To Preserve and Enjoy

The Lolo Watershed Group (LWG) is a community-based nonprofit working towards conserving and restoring the Lolo Creek watershed. Our goal is to enhance aquatic habitat and natural stream channel characteristics while supporting historic and cultural uses.

Our mission is to understand and conserve the rural characteristics that make this watershed unique; private property, water rights, and local agriculture alongside wildlife, fisheries and vast open space.

In Loving Memory

Bobbie Bartlette

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Bobbie Bartlette who passed Saturday, September 11th of 2021. Bobbie gave so much to the community through her work at the Square and Round Dance Center and through her volunteer work with the Lolo Watershed Group. Bobbie’s curiosity about Lolo creek’s meandering stream channels drove her to spearhead the Lolo Watershed Group in 2003. Bobbie threw her energy and intellect into researching the factors and conditions that maintain Lolo Creek while preserving livelihoods. Bobbie raised the funding and co-wrote the Lolo Watershed Restoration Plan, a technical document that allows groups and agencies to strategically tackle unhealthy impacts to the watershed.
It was Bobbie’s scientific mind and passion that put Lolo Watershed on the map and inspired others to learn and investigate the water quality and quantity of this unique area.
Bobbie’s legacy will live on with every stream restored, bank stabilized and road decommissioned. We will do our best to carry on her memory and environmental ethic as we carry on with our lives.
You will be missed Bobbie,
The Lolo Watershed Group

Make a donation in Bobbie’s Memory

It is the wish of Bobbie’s family that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lolo Watershed Group in her name, to further her legacy.
